Hello. I'm Scott.
My core values include truth, logic, efficiency, and taking time to plan. I strive for quality of process, product, and life. Those are the things that are always worth fighting for. I also believe it is the duty of a manager to work for their staff, not the other way around. The most important thing a manager must do is support and enable their team to work effectively.
Currently, I am leading the Quality Assurance (QA) efforts on Magic Leap’s Software Development Kit (SDK) and engine integrations for Unity and Unreal. In the last 11 years or so, I’ve gotten to help grow an awesome team, help create some amazing hardware and software, and have had countless learning opportunities.
I started out my career doing QA Testing and Analysis and a bit of Developer Support for the now closed Darkside Game Studios. While there, I got to work with a relatively small group of great people on games like Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and the unreleased reboot of Phantom Dust.
Prior to that, I studied a bunch of things and eventually earned a degree in Web and Digital Media Development (an awesome and unique program that was like Computer Science’s weird cousin) from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. I am not an engineer, but I have written some code and am always learning.
